Some of the essential functions of this position include:
* Build and maintain quality internal and external customer relationships
* Collaborate with the manager, Assistant Transportation Manager, and/or dispatcher for work assignments, changes in assignments, and on-time delivery performance of work assignments
* Perform proper equipment maintenance, reporting issues and physical damages in a timely manner
* Monitor refrigeration unit
* Complete driver check-ins s required
* Maintains safe work and safe driving practices
* Perform daily pre/post trip inspection of vehicles to include proper completion of paperwork and inspection forms
* Maintain daily GFS and DOT logs
 
 
* You must be 21years of age or older (required)
* High school diploma or GED equivalent (required)
* CDL Class A (Commercial Drivers License) with "doubles" endorsement required
* Working knowledge of the tractor/trailer
* One year of previous driving experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
* Demonstrate dependability and punctuality
* Able to write, speak, and communicate in English (required)
* Demonstrate the ability to operate equipment in a professional & safe manner
* Ability to work independently on varying schedules
* Strong attention to detail
* Effective problem-solving, communication, and organization skills
* Ability to satisfy the DOT requirements
* Must pass a physical ability test and RIAH drug screen
* Some computer knowledge is preferred
* Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds on a regular basis
